Yeah, thanks for having me.

[01:53]

So, tell us a little bit about how you wound up in research.

[01:56]

At least from all the people I’ve ever spoken to, it’s pretty common to say it’s not something you set out to do from the get-go.  I mean how many people have said “Yes” that you might have asked this question to in the past?

[02:09]

One.  So, I’ve done over 140 interviews, and I’ve had, I believe, one.  I might be mistaken, but I really think it’s one person that said intentionally they set out in college to be in market research or consumer insights.

[02:23]

Yeah, I feel like that it’s more of a recent phenomenon.  I mean, growing up, my career aspirations went from wanting to be a marine biologist at Sea World and all those things that come with that and all the way to wanting to go into finance and then eventually discovering sociology in school, which kind of led me down this path.  I guess that’s a normal discipline that might lead people down this pathway. But, to me, ultimately, in the end, I think people are really drawn to what they’re passionate about because of something they’ve gone through or something they’ve experienced or even where they come from.
